Stallions

Deluxe Command is an accomplished Superior Halter Stallion who has sired Superior Halter, Superior Performance, Halter ROM, and Performance ROM offspring. He is by the World Champion Stallion, Man In Command, and out of Miss Josies Deluxe, a producer of Superior Halter, Superior Performance, and Performance ROM offspring. Deluxe Command is among the top 50 stallions producing AQHA Champions. He is a natural athlete that is at home performing in western pleasure and reining, as he is in the discipline of dressage. He is a beautiful sorrel and well-mannered 15.2 hands stallion with the “classic” quarter horse look.

Jalifa (GS) is an accomplished stallion whose first offspring were on the ground in 2005. He is by Zimbro II and out of Conchita. He has passed the conformation and performance requirements for and is in the Puro Sangue Lusitano (PSL) Stud Book Registry of Portugal. He has placed first in a myriad of different classes that exemplify his tremendous versatility– Open Country Pleasure Driving, PSL Senior Stallions, Liberty, Heritage, and English Show Hack. 2006 ERAHC Annual Show: 1st Best Movement; 1st in Show Hack; 1st in Senior Stallion; 1st in PSL Senior Stallion; 1st in Heritage; and 1st in Fourth Level test 2 Dressage class. He was also the 2006 Reserve Champion USDF Region 1 3rd Level Dressage. He has impeccable manners, a wonderful temperament, and a great attitude. He is a beautiful gray 15.2 hand stallion with elegant boldness. He is currently in dressage training at First Choice Farm under the tutelage of Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel where he is training at Fourth Level and has started some FEI work.

Broodmares

Colmar’s Capri is an imported bay Trakehner mare. She is by Ordensglans and out of Colmar. “Capri” had a successful dressage career before becoming a broodmare. At 27 years of age she has retired from the broodmare ranks and has become our fulltime nanny.

Renata is a beautiful dark bay Lusitano mare. She is by Farao and out of Italiana. Two of her foals here at Cedar Rowe, Bravo and Zantana, are bold and athletic, with very correct conformation. Renata's weanling colt, Bravo, is cool, collected and calm, with a gorgeous floating trot.

Schoolmasters

Ohio Lotto is a handsome 15.3 hand sorrel appendix quarter horse gelding. He had a successful eventing career before becoming a full-time riding schoolmaster. He is easy to work with, working well in-hand, on the lunge line, and under saddle. Lotto has an easy to ride trot and a smooth canter. He is well-suited for both the beginner and intermediate level rider.

R.D. Rising Star is a gorgeous 17 hand chestnut thoroughbred gelding. He is by Land of Believe and out of Celestial Dancer. “Rusty” is a handsome guy that is often mistaken for a warmblood. He was schooling at upper First Level when he developed a mysterious lameness that could not be pinpointed. He subsequently developed a severe facial paralysis and became uncoordinated. He was diagnosed with Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM). Rusty underwent six months of treatment and a two year recovery period. He loves to please and is great for both the beginner and intermediate level rider. Despite his size, he is a great confidence builder.

Synergistic had a successful racing career on the turf, as well as in steeplechasing and eventing, before moving on to dressage. He is a gorgeous 16.2 hand dark bay thoroughbred gelding. He is by Allen’s Prospect and out of Palatach. “Gistic” works well in-hand, on the lunge line, and under saddle. He has a smooth trot and an extended trot that is simply a joy to ride. He is best-suited and reserved for the intermediate-level rider. He provides immediate feedback to the riding aides.

Deluxes Penny Lane is a 9-year old sorrel quarter horse mare. She is by Deluxe Command, an accomplished Superior Halter Stallion who has sired Superior Halter, Superior Performance, Halter ROM, and Performance ROM offspring. She is out of Bonnie Bo Dude who successfully schooled through first level dressage. Penny is easy going, has no vices, and works well on the lunge line and under saddle. Although she is schooling at dressage training level, she is also well suited for quarter horse classes, trails, and hunt club activities.

Ben is a 10 year old registered Shire gelding. After a few years of a driving career, he was trained for riding in the discipline of dressage. His natural cadence gaits allow for the further development of the rider's feel of movement and balance. He is one of our lunge/lesson horses in the integrated riding/fitness program. Ben is a big lovable teddy bear who is a joy to watch in motion.

Other Horses

Zagaia is a Puro Sangue Lusitano (PSL) filly which was imported from Portugal. She is by Pyrus (PSL) and out of Gambiarra (PSL). She has been bred for the discipline of dressage using the combination of Alter, Veiga, and Andrade bloodlines. At the 2006 Annual Eastern Region Andalusian Horse Club show, she placed 1st in the Andalusian 2 year old class and then went on to be Reserve Champion Andalusian mare. Zagaia is very bright with a gentle disposition that allows her to be a joy to train. Her disposition is very calm and obliging when working with her.
